We recently connected with Paige Dentice and have shared our conversation below.
Paige , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
My interest in pursuing a creative career was sparked by the realization that artists can earn a living at whatever they put their minds to. During my middle school years, I discovered my passion for art, and it has brought me so much joy. I enrolled in Lancaster’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, where I received invaluable guidance and support that enabled me to achieve my current accomplishments.

Paige , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hello there! My name is Paige Dentice, owner of Paige’s Creations and Live Painting and I am a Live Wedding/Event Painter and Fine Artist. I began my artistic journey during my high school years and have since dedicated myself to enhancing my knowledge and comprehension of drawing and painting. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting from Buffalo State College and had the privilege of studying painting in Siena, Italy through the Siena program.
I also gained valuable experience working as an Art Handler at the AKG for several years. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, I discovered the art of live event painting. Inspired by my passion for Plein Air painting, I decided to give it a try at my cousin’s wedding in late 2021. This experience deepened my love for painting, and wedding painting has become a cherished aspect of my artistic practice for me ever since.
I thrive under the pressure of weddings. It truly evokes all my emotions into each painting I create. I am honored to be a part of such special moments and to contribute to the joy and memories of couples on their wedding day.
I specialize in live paintings for weddings and events, as well as commissioned paintings and murals. I am passionate about the artistic community in Buffalo.
What makes me different from other artists is my unique way of using color and space to create dynamic paintings that come to life. I paint to the rhythm of the celebration, and I create one-of-a-kind works of art that will be cherished for generations.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I have a great deal of respect for the artists and live painters I follow, and I am grateful for the inspiration and community they provide. In particular, I have been following Sari Shryack (@not_sorry_art) for almost eight years, and I am consistently impressed by her work and her unique perspective on reality. I highly recommend her podcast on YouTube for entrepreneurs, artists, and anyone interested in contemporary thought. Sari’s use of surreal coloring and texture draws viewers into her retelling of the world around us, and her insights into economic issues and contemporary thinking are thought-provoking and insightful.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
In my case, I genuinely enjoy the privilege of being self-employed. Each day presents a unique set of challenges and engaging experiences. I love creating unique artwork for people and being a part of couples’ special moments. The most fulfilling aspect of my profession is witnessing my own artistic growth with each painting I create.
