We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Artevian Hall-palmer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Artevian below.
Artevian, appreciate you joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Honestly, I learned from watchin my homies make beats. However, My brother Jordan $age is the one who showed me how to use FL Studio. Up until that point, I, was making beats with drum loops and samples on Virtual DJ software.
I, personally think nothing would’ve changed my learning process, regardless of the knowledge I have now, simply because I’ve been doing the same thing almost 5 years, but it was just the repetition of practicing and experimenting.
Although, I wasn’t making melodies at the time most of my stuff was loops or samples, I’d say my bounce for the drums on a beat was a skill was essential simply because me experimenting forced me to try something new every day.
My only obstacles, I came across, was really learning FL Studio, and after it was more like getting comfortable with a certain style of samples/loops, or using a drum pattern way more then i need to.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My Name is Artevian Hall-Palmer, Producer name K1DDV3NOM. I’m From Northern VA in Sterling, VA. I’m a producer, and also learning my way around audio engineering too, been producing for I believe going on 5 years now. Music itself has always been apart of my life, its been my therapy, I didn’t make beats until i met my homies in my team Red X and Jordan $age, I learned alot from them on my musical journey as well as many other producers.
If theres anything I’m proud of, I’m more proud of my work ethic, would be the biggest, anyone who’s worked with me will tell you, I may not be able to do everything, but I always give it a fair shot. Also, they’ll also tell you I’m a lab rat, I’m always cookin up something.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Other than to be the best I can be, at what I do, I always though it’d be dope to make my own anime, and produce for it, or even have my beat in an anime or video game. So, I can’t say theres a specific mission, I just wanna make the best music possible.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I, think the most rewarding thing is seeing an audience or even a group, even the small amount people that take the time out to listen to your beats/song ect, on Instagram, and seeing how many people actually like your song/Beat/ artwork ect.
