We recently connected with Chris Gonzalez and have shared our conversation below.
Chris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
“As VTATV.net grew within the broadcasting ecosystem, we offered several paid subscription services for free through a booking system we used called Square. This system allocated time slots and dates for users to access our network, including complementary subscriptions such as Restream, Google Drive, and more, to facilitate their startup operations.
Establishing a broadcasting presence in the metaverse posed challenges due to the significant monthly expenses required to maintain the necessary streaming servers. Recognizing these challenges, we felt compelled to assist and provide support to those starting their journey.
Over the years, we’ve had many users stream through VTATV to reach multiple networks and locations. As a multimedia advertising distribution network operating across Web2 and Web3, we have seen many of our users grow and thrive within the Web3 ecosystem by broadcasting through our network, which includes seven metaverses, over ten virtual parcel lands, 25 social platforms, more than ten physical venues in over ten countries, and our own app in the Decentraland metaverse as an NFT wearable.
This expansive network has brought our users great success, strengthening their partnerships and providing exceptional exposure for their services or businesses. Today, many of them run profitable enterprises. Watching them succeed has been my greatest joy and satisfaction.”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
“Hello, readers! I’m Chris Gonzalez, the 32-year-old founder of VTATV.net, an advertising and media distribution network that operates under the slogan, ‘VTATV: Bridging Realities, Broadcasting Innovations – Your Simulation Communications Network across Web2, Web3, and IRL.’ Born and raised in Washington Heights, Spanish Harlem, New York City, I grew up in the vibrant Upper West Side. As a typical New York City kid engaged in street basketball and other community activities, I was always energetic and loved being the center of attention. This passion for engaging with others carried over into my professional life.
Throughout my career, I have always balanced traditional 9-to-5 jobs with nurturing side goals and creative projects, fueling the entrepreneurial spirit that led to the creation of VTATV. The journey into the metaverse and blockchain industry in late 2019 opened new avenues for me as I quickly embraced the role of a community member in Web3. This transition was driven by a keen interest in the emerging fields of broadcasting and technology, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for innovative remote work solutions.
In my first venture into the Decentraland metaverse, I connected with influential individuals who significantly shaped my professional path and the development of VTATV. Within a year, I found myself hosting numerous virtual events as a Web3 MC, educating audiences about the technical aspects of Web3 development, and envisioning a platform that would empower creators and offer widespread job opportunities.
VTATV was born out of several inspirations. My fascination with the digital world started with childhood influences like the cartoon show ‘Digimon,’ which sparked my interest in the interplay between digital realms and real life. The name ‘VTATV’ is derived from ‘VIDA,’ the Latin word for ‘life,’ reflecting our commitment to infusing life into digital interactions. My Web3 nickname ‘Biometa’ complements this, combining ‘bio,’ referring to biology—the study of life—with ‘meta,’ relating to the virtual world. This represents my journey through the digital world, narrating my story from a physical reality to a digitally embedded presence in technological history.
Another profound concept that shaped VTATV is string theory, which provided a vision for the structural creation of our network. This theory inspired our approach to connect different realities—Web2, Web3, and real life—through a network that is as complex and interconnected as the universe itself.
Today, VTATV operates as a decentralized television-like network on the blockchain, empowering content creators with control, security, and creative freedom. Our network has broadcasted 95% of our media and advertising programs for free, reaching a point where monetization is now possible through our network and NFT applications. We continue to strive for innovation in traditional media by integrating VR, social media, and AR/XR technologies to decentralize television as we know it, granting creators full rights over their media, identity, and financial independence.
Please visit VTATV.net or join us in the Decentraland metaverse to explore how blockchain can facilitate your creative and entrepreneurial journey. At VTATV, we’re bridging realities and broadcasting innovations, ensuring that every digital interaction is as vibrant and vital as life itself.”

How’d you meet your business partner?
“Ernesto J. from Wisconsin, co-founder of VTATV.net, is not only a brother and friend but a steadfast partner with whom I’ve shared a remarkable journey in building and expanding VTATV. Let me recount a small part of our story and how we came together to pursue this long-term dream.
On my first day in the metaverse, I encountered AlphaAngel, a close friend who owns the brand Bverse for business development within the Web3 community. Spending considerable time together in Decentraland, Alpha introduced me to his team, which included Ernesto, known in the metaverse as Bitfiend. As I became part of this group, they imparted invaluable lessons in business development and community building. Over time, each of us grew and followed different paths—some becoming independent entrepreneurs and others forging new partnerships.
Ernesto, who I now regard as a close friend, mentor, and ‘metaverse brother,’ became indispensable to my journey. We dedicated countless hours to developing and shaping the Web3 landscape. Our mutual achievements and successes made partnering up a natural step, leading to the creation of VTATV as it stands today.
We shared a vision of achieving financial freedom for our community through the use of blockchain technology. This shared vision resulted in the establishment of one of the first advertising and media distribution networks in the Decentraland metaverse. We tirelessly cover events and document the evolution of users who leverage our network, while the community at VTATV remains the most special aspect of all.
From friends we know in real life to those we’ve connected with virtually from around the world, the VTATV network is united by a shared understanding that we are paving the future of broadcasting, one day at a time. Ernesto, thank you for being an incredible partner, and to our outstanding team—Ontherise, Cardinal Quack, and Chronot—you are all true legends, and together, we’re leading VTATV to new heights.”

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
“Today’s point-of-sale (POS) systems are sophisticated and updated, offering interoperability and accommodating various forms of payment. However, one critical element often missing from current sales applications is transparency between the buyer, seller, and the backend service platform. At VTATV, we rely on platforms like OpenSea and the Decentraland marketplace for our sales and goods.
Let me elaborate: OpenSea is an NFT marketplace where we offer our services and phygital products (physical and digital). Meanwhile, Decentraland acts as our ‘App Store,’ where we distribute application technology embedded in smart wearables, a form of NFT. These wearables can be purchased directly through OpenSea or exclusively via the Decentraland metaverse marketplace, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for our customers.”
