We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sherry Rivard a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherry, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?

Bio Sherry’s Angels began in 2011,  creating wings of all kinds is my passion and specialty, the wings are for sale and for rent. I started making wings as an experiment after a long battle with unfortunate events, car accidents  and a divorce.  Previously i was a horse care specialists and trained miniature horses. After my accidents and other challenges i realized i couldn’t work with horses anymore.  When i was young i was obsessed with wings and used to draw them constantly but never thought that i could do something with this passion. The wing making went better than i expected so i started putting them in fashion shows, and later started renting and making custom orders. check out my wings on social media platforms,  Facebook and Instagram, Sherry’s Angels. Have you ever had to pivot?

My intire life I wanted to just work in the horse industry and thought I would be doing that until I retired. I soon realized after some Life struggles, raising 2 girls, divorce, work accident car accidents, developing PTSD, That working with horses was no longer in the cards for me. Unfortunately when I needed to find a different form of work all I new was horses. So I started thinking about what my passions were besides horses, and that was wings. So I tried to make my first pair of wings and it turned out better than I expected. At the time I started my daughter was wanting to start modeling. She was young so I took on the title of her momager. Those connections led us to the fashion scene of Denver. My daughter took flight as a model and I took flight as a wing designer.
