We were lucky to catch up with SARA Loaiza recently and have shared our conversation below.
SARA, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
Firstly, the value of family was ingrained in me from a young age. My parents always emphasized the significance of supporting and cherishing our family unit, we have big family and we try to reunite often. This emphasis fostered a deep sense of loyalty and connection within me, which has guided my decisions and relationships both personally and professionally. I recall a specific instance where my parents prioritized attending family gatherings and celebrations, which highlighted to me the importance of maintaining strong family bonds amidst life’s challenges.
Secondly, discipline was a cornerstone of my upbringing. My parents instilled in me the importance of setting goals, working diligently towards them, and persevering through obstacles. They led by example, demonstrating consistency and commitment in their own projects. This upbringing cultivated a strong work ethic within me and taught me the value of striving for excellence in all aspects of life, as well the importance of showing up.
my parents taught me the essence of courage. They encouraged me to face my fears and go after my dreams and convictions, fostering a mindset that embraces challenges as opportunities for growth. One vivid memory that exemplifies this was when my parents supported me in pursuing to move from Colombia to NYC by myself to find my own path despite uncertainties. Their encouragement instilled in me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone and pursue ambitious goals.
My parents taught me about the importance of sharing and service, starting within our family and extending to the world around us. They emphasized the value of generosity and compassion in our daily interactions.
In my career, I work to embody these values by teaching and helping others find freedom and liberation of their mind and full being. Whether it’s through mentoring colleagues, guiding students, or supporting clients, my job revolves around empowering others to reach their potential and achieve personal growth.
The lessons from my parents have profoundly influenced my approach to work and life. I believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. This commitment to service and sharing, cultivated at home, continues to shape how I engage with the world, trying to make a positive impact in all that I do.
Overall, the impact of these teachings has been profound. Their nurturing guidance has equipped me with the values and skills necessary to navigate life’s ebb & flows and pursue a fulfilling path. The importance of family, discipline, courage, service and sharing that they planted in me continues to be the compass that guides my personal and professional journey.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
The early days when I arrived were really tough but I made my way to school and to a scholarship to study.
My days were filled with auditions that often ended in rejections, financial struggles, and the isolating feeling of being in a bustling city without a support network. However, I refused to be discouraged. Instead, I viewed each obstacle as an opportunity for growth and exploration.
As I immersed myself in the vibrant cultural tapestry of New York, I discovered a profound passion for holistic wellness and the transformative power of ancient practices. Drawing from my own heritage and experiences, and also practicing and devoting time to learn and educated myself I began to weave together the threads of cacao ceremonies, yoga, meditation, breathwork, and sound healing.
My journey from aspiring actress to multifaceted artist and sacred space holder exemplifies the resilience that has defined my path. Each setback and challenge served as a catalyst for personal and professional growth. I transformed adversity into opportunity, shaping a career that honors my inner wisdom and cultural heritage.
Today, I stand as a soulful alchemist dedicated to empowering others on their paths of self-discovery. My story underscores the importance of embracing change and remaining open to unexpected opportunities. It’s a testament to the transformative potential of following one’s heart, even when the path diverges from the original plan.
Now who knows what’s next , but definitely more space to grow and evolve. Maybe some acting ? Who knows!!
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If given the chance to go back and choose my profession again, I would wholeheartedly embrace the same path of multidisciplinary artistry and holistic wellness. It’s incredibly fulfilling to guide individuals along transformative journeys, helping them reconnect with their authentic selves.
The choice to pursue this path has allowed me to align with my deepest passions and values. I find immense joy in creating sacred spaces where people can explore and celebrate their unique essence. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve others and witness the profound transformations that unfold.
In essence, my journey has affirmed that following my heart and embracing resilience leads to a life of purpose and fulfillment. I wouldn’t trade this path for anything else—it’s where I belong, and it brings me immense joy to share this journey with others.
