Sudha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I used to love baking for my family and friends, after sometime i realized there was an opportunity to offer something truly special to clients, personalized, handcrafted cakes that not only looked stunning but also tasted divine Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or corporate event, I strive to create cakes that not only exceed expectations but also reflect the individuality of each client. From intricate designs to bespoke flavor combinations, my goal is to make every cake a memorable centerpiece that brings joy and delight to the celebration.

Hi, Iam Sudha Taragalla, self taught cake artist, home baker founder of Twinklecakesbysudha. based in Frederick, Maryland currently serving DMV area. We specialize in Bespoke Wedding Cakes, custom cakes and we also offer wide range of unique desserts such as Cupcakes, mini dessert cups, cake jars, and many more.. our Cake shots are very popular and our clients love them, some clients even traveled from miles away to taste our delectable desserts.

My journey into the world of baking began simply as a way to create sweet moments for my family. What started as a hobby in my kitchen quickly evolved into a full-fledged passion. As I spent more time experimenting with recipes and perfecting my skills, I realized that baking wasn’t just a past time and I should turn this into my career, but it wasn’t easy to start my business. being a reserved person, it took me sometime to leave my comfort zone and come into this baking world.
Now it’s been 5 years since I started baking professionally.
I strongly believe in growing together, thanks to Instagram I got to know many small business owners
now they’re very good friends.

Having an love and interest in art and creating sketches helped me alot in creating unique designs for weddings aswell as custom cakes, very grateful for my clients who trusts my vision and always supports me to trying new models and techniques.

Now, It’s incredibly fulfilling to see how something that began as a simple hobby has blossomed into a thriving career.”

Througu sharing about our delicious desserts and cakes videos and of course the power of word-of-mouth. we’ve been able to organically grow our following. And being dedicated to your work and providing good quality cakes for your clients are important. we must say thanks to invaluable support of our loyal clients who continue to spread the word about our cakes and desserts always grateful for them. we simply created our socialmedia page just to showcase my work to clients and reach more people. Baking journey requires lot of patience and practice.
