Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Arlyne Rondon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Arlyne, appreciate you joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
As a proud owner of 2 beautiful teacup Yorkshires, I wanted to utilize a name that represents them. The way they waggle their tails when they are excited, just made it a perfect name. They waggle their tails when they are out on walks, when you give them praise and especially when you give them treats. I want my brand name to represent that happiness. The smile on their faces while they waggle their tails was just a perfect representation of how much happiness my dogs bring to my life. I want the consumer to look at my logo image with the cute yorkie smiling, and feel that cuteness and happiness.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a proud mother to two wonderful children and proud owner of 2 Teacup Yorkshire dogs. I was inspired to create something that could be utilized and loved by all pet owners. I love walking my dogs, however it became troublesome having both hands occupied on walks. Every time i had to clean up after one, I found it difficult to hold them both and my cell phone when I had to clean up the bowels. In this modern day, no one leave the house without there cell phone. And honestly I wanted to walk them and still hold my phone and still be able to clean and not worry about releasing one hand while using the other hand to clean up after them. The leashed I shopped for and researched were not giving me what I needed. . What I found was that most leashes that are hands free were to be placed around the waist, and that itself can be dangerous as it can make you lose balance, it is not safe to have anything pull you by the waist. Cross body has balance, as you full back can hold steady if a dog decides to pull.
The cross body’s online were not multi functional nor what I wanted. I brought it my daughters attention and we both worked hard on a prototype. I saw in my head what I wanted, so I drew it up and we started experimenting with material and started sewing and putting it together. The final creation was functional, strong, convenient, unisex, adjustable, with utility and purpose. It is the only leash I will ever use. The cross body has a built in pocket dispenser for the bags, so convenient to clean up. It has another pocket to hold a defense spray, and honestly as a women walking at night with 2 small dogs it comes in handy in this dangerous world. Also hawks and larger dogs present a danger to very small dogs. For pet owners with larger dogs they can utilize that pocket for a small flashlight, knife, or another roll of bags, It’s great to have that convenience. It has a large O-ring where you can clip multiple dogs at a time, depending of course on what you a s a person can handle walking at a time. I also place my keys on the O-ring. The Cross body is adjustable to fit men and women comfortably. The attachable leashehave clips on both ends, and are also adjustable so you can decide how close or far you want your dogs to you while walking or running. Black is such an easy color to care for and easy to match with. I like to call it “The Better Leash” on my ads because it has such function, purpose and convenience all in one. I want all dogs owners to love it too,

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My partner is the best person I know, my daughter. She is the first person I ran my ideas with and we both worked hard together to create a prototype and build our business. Together we got the LLC, required business prerequisites, the business name, fictitious name and logo in production. See is the creator of my website Waggleyourtail.com and content. I work the media lines most advertising on Etsy, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google ads, we did adnerstidinf with Hulu and still working hard to get in more progressive media lines to reach the public.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
We enjoy Vendor events and it has been crucial and advantageous to talk about our product to let consumers try it on, greet there beautiful dogs and get the word out. Word of mouth is so essential to build upon. People that love my product tend to tell others about it and we are thankful for that. At vendor events we meet fellow business owners, veterinarians, humane society volunteers, and dog owners that are looking to get better innovative products for their dogs.
