We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Natolie Warren a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Natolie, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I literally started my private practice a month after I became a fully licensed professional counselor. At the time, I was doing contract work for a psychologist working as a psychometrist. She invited me to begin renting space in her office so I could start to see clients independently. Even though I was somewhat afraid, I took a huge risk and began the necessary steps to begin seeing clients. Starting my own practice was something that I knew I wanted to do one day but I did not imagine it would happen this way or this soon. I am so glad that I took the risk. It has been 14 years and I am still in business.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I knew in high school that I wanted to help people figure out why they behaved the way that they do. My psychology class in high school confirmed that I wanted to have a career in psychology. Simultaneously, I became intrigued with personal development through watching the Oprah Winfrey show. This was the beginning of my journey into psychology and personal development.
Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Transformational Life Coach, a Emotional Wellbeing Coach and Trainer and a Wellness Retreat Leader. I love that I get to guide women to heal their past wounds, grow in confidence and thrive in their lives and relationships.
I help women all around the world uncover their gifts within and use their inner- personal power to deliver it to the world….as a means to gain all they desire…money, confidence, influence, and security!
Primarily, I guide women to have a fulfilled life that aligns with their soul’s purpose, using the power of self-confidence, their mindset and inner transformational techniques.
I support professional women, business leaders, fellow healers and go getters…
• Decrease stress, anxiety and overwhelm
• Increase mental clarity so you can be more present and productive
• Help to create the life they love that aligns with your desires, wishes and goals
• Increase self-care and self-love practices to feel more authentic, balanced and fulfilled
My mission is to revolutionize the way women learn to embrace who they are, so that they can create the life they desire, and change the world. I have over a decade of experience in psychology and personal development coupled with my own personal transformations to guide others on their own life changing journey.
I am most proud of my own personal transformation. I have and continue to do the work to be the best version of myself. I believe that I have to embody the work and that I can only take others as far as I am willing to grow. I also believe that everyone has the power within to heal, change and transform their lives. My life’s work is centered around self-empowerment, self-healing, self-mastery and self-transformation.
Have you ever had to pivot?
After 7 years of being in my office, I felt a call to expand my work to support women in a greater way. It was confirmed after I started to notice that several clients were having similar challenges and I was providing similar solutions. I decided to pivot and I made some changes to begin hosting live events and retreats, to start coaching and speaking, to write books and to start a podcast to solve some of these more common challenges.
Yes, it was a big pivot that definitely has had its share of ups and downs. Specifically, this pivot allowed me to grow as I had to break free of my own limiting beliefs, get out of my own comfort zone and take calculated risks to make my dreams a reality. Whew… it has been a ride. In spite of it all, I have loved every part of this journey and it is a continual process. Honestly, the expansion continues as I have grown over the years. I have a deeper appreciation of the mind and body connection in my own personal life and in my work. In 2021, I expanded the business again to include holistic wellness to support my vision and the mission.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Success in the field of psychology, wellness and personal development really starts with you as the individual. Your own personal awareness and your willingness to confront and work through your own challenges positions you to fully show up for your clients. It supports you have a deeper understanding of why the work is so important and how to guide others through it beyond the knowledge.
