We recently connected with Vanedda Lynn-Pesina and have shared our conversation below.
Vanedda, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
When it comes to being successful I believe we are the ones responsible for the level of success we achieve. Success doesn’t come from not taking a risk. It doesn’t come from just saying you want to do it. Success comes from taking that risk. Everyone won’t see the dream the way you do. But as long as you see the dream then it is possible. Get up and do everything you dreamed of !
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Vanedda Lynn, a professional photographer from Dallas, Texas, who has developed a deep appreciation for the art of photography. Initially, my interest in photography began as a mere hobby, but after capturing various images of family and friends, I realized that my passion could be transformed into something more significant. As a photographer, I offer an array of services ranging from portraits to outdoor photography. What distinguishes my work from others is my commitment to capturing both the subject and the scenery in exquisite detail. I truly believe that nature sets its own background and can enhance the quality of the photo.
My approach to every photo shoot is highly professional. Valuing the importance of building rapport with each of client to create a safe space for creativity and to give every client a boost of confidence. Importantly, ensuring that every session is unique and tailored to the specific needs of my clients. My desire is to provide clients with a memorable photo session that is both enjoyable and meaningful.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
As I reflect on my work, I have come to realize that a significant portion of my clients have been referred to me by previous clients. My initial assumption that acquiring new clients would require frequent self-promotion has proven to be misguided. In fact, social media has been a valuable tool for showcasing my work and attracting new clients. Additionally, I am grateful for the support of my family and friends who have provided me with valuable referrals.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When it comes to building an audience on social media, it is important to explore cost-effective marketing methods. In my initial efforts, I launched a contest through which individuals could win a free photo shoot session by getting five friends to like my business page. This strategy proved to be effective in multiple ways, allowing me to express gratitude towards my existing supporters and hone my skills in the process. My recommendation for building a strong audience on social media is to focus on marketing oneself and to approach it with creativity. It is important to not become too preoccupied with the number of likes as it may detract from one’s passion for their craft.
