We were lucky to catch up with Deni Baker recently and have shared our conversation below.
Deni, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Sometimes taking a risk can give the biggest reward of all! Don’t live in fear. Be bold.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was born in Nashville, Tennessee and attended McGavock Elementary. I was in Kindergarten when I discovered my love for singing and music. I somehow knew at 5 years old I could carry a tune and boy did I have passion for it!
What I would say that I’ve been most proud of is always following my dreams and not letting anyone’s judgement deter me. I feel when God places something in your heart, no one can get in the way of that.
I love being creative and putting a unique twist on things. When I started TikTok a year ago, it gave me the perfect outlook to express my talents. I never thought I would have so many people along for the ride and enjoying it like me!
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, Elvis Presley. I want younger generations to recognize the greatest entertainer that’s ever lived. That’s ultimately why I do my videos. I strive to keep his beautiful legacy alive. Many people during Elvis’ lifetime are starting to pass on and I feel it’s important now than ever to continue to keep the torch lit in honor of Elvis.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Simple. Find something you have a passion for and run with it. Carve out your niche and do something small every day. If it’s not posting that day, come up with an idea, and if you find yourself having difficulty coming up with an idea, do an activity or a hobby that interests you. It may have been in front of your eyes the entire time!
