Alright, Tasha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.

My parents did everything right for me my whole lifetime . They have laid down a pathway for me to follow. Both of my parents are also entrepreneurs, so seeing them work for themselves and give my sisters and I an amazing lifestyle gave me encouragement to do it on my own too! Growing up my parents would always tell me about their life before they started their businesses. It was not easy for them because they were not granted the opportunities that I have. This really impacted me on my journey because my parents came from the bottom giving me the opportunity to start from the top. Knowing this, I knew I wanted to be very successful in life. I wanted to make them proud and assure them that they did not get to this point for nothing. A lot of opportunities are open for me in life, and I believe you should never take anything for granted in life. Because of my parents, today I am a business owner doing what I love. I enjoy being creative and decorating. It is the best feeling especially when my clients love my work! I hope to continue my passion forever!

Tasha , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Tasha Kadira. I am 15 years old and K.Balloonistas was established when I was 14 years old. I got into the business industry with the encouragement from many family members after they saw my first project which was mosaic letters. Everyone saw the potential in me and encouraged me to make money with my creativity skills. KBalloonistas provides a variety of balloon garlands, backdrops, lights, mosaic letters/numbers, and signs to bring anyone’s party to life! I think my motivation and age sets me apart from others. Owning a business is not easy and especially at a young age it can be hard to keep your motivation. I am very proud that I am still going and I am most proud of the new products I add here and there. For my potential clients, I would like for them to know that it is only going to expand, and I can’t wait to bring their party to life!

How did you build your audience on social media?

I slowly began to build my audience on social media by continuously posting about my business page on my personal account. I also gave it to my parents and close family which was a good idea because they helped me spread my name out and gain more clientele along with supporters. My advice to anyone who is just starting their business is to be consistent with posting and advertising your business on your personal and business pages! It will help you get out there.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source of new clients has been instagram. I enjoy making reels to show what I do for 2 hours in 1 minute. This also gives me a chance to gain more followers and clientele because my reels usually get up to 1k-2k views. A recent reel I made got 16k views. That reel gained me some new followers and potential clients!
