We recently connected with Jamie Blair and have shared our conversation below.
Jamie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
Yes, I manage my own social media. I have considered hiring a team to manage it but at this time I am the face of my company and so, I made the decision to first build the notion of ‘know/like/trust’ within my brand before delegating the responsibility to someone else. So far, I would say that the results are slow and steady. I would suggest to other business to opt to contract this work out if they can afford it. Otherwise, setting a day aside to schedule content works just as well.

Jamie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have a degree in Business Administration, my life insurance license, a certification in Financial Coaching, a certification in Women’s Entrepreneurship, and a reoccurring AFSP Tax Preparer with the IRS. These credentials allow me to provide quality services to my clients at Strategic Moves Financial Solutions, where I am able to offer top tier tax preparation, life insurance and more! For many I can provide multi financial solutions to assist them with strategically utilizing their money to better benefit them and their loved ones.
There are a plethora of company’s around like mine, however, I stand out because I pride myself on educating my clients of their options and how it can work for them in the future. I do not treat them like another number in my profit/loss statement. This is one of many things that I am most proud of. We are all products of our environment, and I simply want to be a resource within the environment that helps it’s clients to get to the next level in life.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I initially started this business focusing on credit repair and homebuyers education. Once I realized that I preferred to teach rather than complete the tedious steps of credit repair, I decided that it was time to hang up the towel. To go even further, the ROI was not where it should have been. However, it’s expected within an industry where the clients are already struggling to pay their bills. When this became a realization for me, I decided to shift gears and provided the service of tax preparation in addition to a few others. With this decision, I decided to be the best! I learned and continue to learn about the tax laws, credits, and deductions to be of better quality to my clients.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me are those referred to me. This allows me to properly vet my clientele to make sure that we are the right fit for one another.
