We were lucky to catch up with Kevin Nunez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, thanks for joining us today. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
I was 20 years old out of college. I needed a “j.o.b” so I walked into TITLE Boxing Club in Clarksville, TN where I was hired on my 21st birthday as a sales associate. At first it was just a job. But as a Puerto Rican athlete, I fell in love with the sport of boxing. To both practice it and to teach it! From sales associate to leader in sales across the country, to assistant manager leading a failing business to a booming business, to then becoming a trainer/regional trainer leading up to who I am today as an owner. In boxing I became one of the top amateurs in state of Florida. 4x state champ and 2x national champ as an amateur and a pro now. Truly blessed to do what I love for a living!

Kevin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Growing up I was always an athlete. As a baseball player and going to school for business and sports administration, I always knew sports was the industry I wanted to be in. You mix what you love to do with also being able to take care of WHO you love, it’s a win win! Through the sport of boxing, I’m a vessel for people and their fitness journeys. Physical health is important but mental health is more important. Boxing takes care of both. Getting you in tip-top shake from head to toe including stamina & cardio to releasing some stress on the bags! More importantly than the workout, we’ve built a community of like-minded individuals aspiring to become the best versions of themselves! We hold each other accountable. And most importantly, we love on people! You’re not just a number. As husband and father, I understand we’re all humans first. And everyone has their own personal fight!
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back 100 times I would pick my profession and specialty over and over again 100 times! I am the true definition of doing what you love for a living!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
We believe in the 4 P’s: People, Product, Process, Profit. You can’t have one without the other. But it doesn’t matter how good your product or process is.. if you don’t have the right people on your team the rest won’t matter.
