We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Scott Stokely. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Scott below.
Scott, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
The number one thing that holds people back is the inability to pull the trigger on their ideas. They wait for their ducks to be in a row, not knowing that ducks never get into a row. They set a 5-year plan, not knowing that 5-year plans are always 5 years away.
Paralysis by perfection is a real thing which stems from a fear of failure. Instead of worrying about possibly failing, you should progress with the understanding that some of your idea will always fail. However, failures are speed bumps not roadblocks.
Set a date to launch and announce it to the world to create accountability. Then, do everything you can to work towards the date and do it on that date with whatever you have got. You might fail in competing every detail but you won’t be stopped.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
When you ask advice from your partner, friends, or family members, only implement that advice if you also agree with it. Getting feedback and different points of view does not obligate you to do any of the suggestions given.
The only time you should listen to advice that conflicts with what you think is a good decision is if it comes from somebody who is already more successful than you in an area that you are trying to succeed in.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
If you are primarily building your market through social media, you must build your audience first and established a connection and trust with them before you try to sell them anything. Do not even consider marketing your business, product or idea until you have a solid following.
People like to buy things, nobody likes to be sold to. You cannot sell anything until you have a relationship with your market.
