Alright, Jennifer thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
I have always been an artist. From a young age, I was drawn to painting, drawing, and photography, and I enjoyed learning about the stories behind it all. My grandparents’ albums enamored me, filled with photos and moments I would never take part in, but I relived them through the stories they told me about them. So, there has always been something within me that fully loved this medium; however, my parents never saw it as a valid career choice, so I was not allowed to pursue it and always kept it as a hobby.
After I got married, my husband gifted me my first professional starter camera, and ever since then, I delved more deeply into photography; this is where my business officially got its roots. I have been a photographer since 2009, but the journey to where my business is today was much longer. I never sought to make this my full-time business and to be honest; I never thought it possible to do what I love and call it my profession. It was something I picked up and put down throughout the years; however, in 2018, my son was diagnosed with a vision disorder that would require therapy, which insurance did not cover, so I scrambled to see what I could do to help make it happen.
I feel like I accidentally fell into the wedding world. I was seeking to restart my path as a photographer and got the opportunity to help as a second shooter to a local photographer. Immediately, I fell in love; weddings have so many elements of why I love photography, all packed within a day. The rush of emotions and beauty throughout the day inspires me. This was the year I decided to focus solely on being a wedding photographer because it fits my lifestyle, and I felt like I finally found something that felt right. I homeschool my two boys during the week and handle all the business things throughout the week, and on the weekends, I get to create, capture, and partake in someone’s most incredible day of their lives. It comes down to family and my love for it. I love all the emotions that arise on a wedding day and capturing all the little in-between moments as if they were my own. I love the raw beauty a wedding day brings. I love capturing a part of someone’s history with images that will outlive me. I get to prove someone was there and that a moment happened.

I am an artist, wife, and mother. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years. We have two boys together, and I homeschool them. I am a wedding photographer specializing in romantic, elegant wedding imagery for cool and fun couples who want to live in the moment. I fully believe that capturing your memories is about being present with each other and intentionally living in the experience you share with your loved ones. For that, you need a photographer you trust to capture it beautifully.
