Flash , appreciate you joining us today. The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?
When I was a child, maybe 11 my grandmother who was the Choir Director/Minister of music at Bureau 7th day Adventist church hired me to play a 5 day church crusade. I think I was paid maybe 50 dollars a service. I thought I was for sure rich at that point.

Flash , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Daniel Revell, but most call me Flash. I Started out as a young boy playing in church wanting be as good as my dad. My whole family was engulfed in music. My great uncle, Walter Turnbull started the boys and Girls Choir of Harlem, my grandmother was the Pianist/Choir Director/ minster of music at Bureau 7th day Adventist church, my mom and my dad would do gigs for the same artist at times (her singing background and him playing drums), my aunt played organ professionally, and my uncle Jason (Siré) produced records like Window Shopper for 50 cent, and both my younger brothers were musician. So music was practically life itself for me. As life progressed, it was noticeable to those around me that music was in my blood and like a village they made sure I cultivated it and put me in schools and around great musicians to glean and develop the gift of music. Soon after, in my teenage years I was afforded many opportunities to travel playing drums for different artists which then lead to my desire to jump into production. This took time and dedication. I would surround myself with many different producers in my city and sit like a child who knew nothing gleaning from their realtime experiences and words of wisdom. I was then afforded the opportunities to produce R&B & Gospel records for people like Kjiavanni, Reneé Ashley, Vincent Bohanan etc. It brings me joy to know that the artist leaves happy and satisfied. I think what sets me apart is my versatility as a producer. This is simply because I was around so many unique musicians growing so it exposed me to a variety of genres as well as the different characters in the genre. Without noticing it I began to pick out what made the artist, producers, and musicians who they were which in turn helps me build music tailor-made specifically for the artist.
I want my supporters to know that my main goal is to leave them with an emotion that blesses them. They pushed me to better, & I just want to create music that helps them heal and grow.
My brand name is Flashforward Entertainment. This is an umbrella company that covers everything I do from Music Production, Providing bands and singers for events, weddings, artists, shows, music consultations etc.
Some of my latest work was as a Producer on Vincent Bohanan & SOVs Live In Dallas.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I don’t think I have a specific tangible or monetary goal. However passion, and love drives me. Im passionate about people feeling the love petruding throughout what I do. I want to be remembered as a person who brings positive change into any room or situation I’m apart of. I want people to remember me as a physical embodiment of persistence, determination and love.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, what’s most rewarding is seeing people satisfied. Whether it’s a client or a listener. Knowing that whatever I produce brings people happiness.
