Alright, Kris thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?

As a content creator, I believe timing is everything. While there may have been moments I wish I started sooner, every step of my journey has shaped my perspective, skills, and creativity; from working full time in a restaurant to working full time as a creator. I began my career as a hobby on the side, simply a fun platform to keep my friends and family entertained and up to date on the uniqueness of my day-to-day life. I embrace the timing of my career as the here-and-now and focus on making the most of the present moment to inspire and connect with my audience.

Kris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

As a content creator deeply rooted in San Diego’s country dance scene, my 13 years of dance experience has shaped me into an industry leader known for my unique fusion of alternative and country western fashion. Beyond captivating audiences on the dance floor, my mission is to inspire others through my own creativity and passion. Through storytelling, photography, and videography, I strive to set trends, make a positive impact, and encourage others to embrace their passions, both on and off the dance floor. With each piece of content, my goal is to ignite inspiration and foster a sense of empowerment within my community.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Absolutely, my creative journey is fueled by a mission to inspire others and make a positive impact. Whether it’s through dancing, content creation, or interactions with my community, I strive to ignite passion, spark creativity, and empower those around me. My goal is to use my platform to share stories, spread joy, and encourage others to embrace their unique talents and passions. Ultimately, I aim to leave a lasting impression and inspire others to pursue their dreams fearlessly, just as l’ve done on my own creative journey.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Upon committing to my content creation journey, I shared a video that, to my surprise, became the most disliked among my postings. Despite its alignment with my usual content style, as well as my attempt to avoid any and all controversy, it garnered attention from a multitude of hateful people. Initially, this experience was profoundly disheartening and the most devastating thing to happen to me on my journey. Disabling notifications and attempting to divert my attention proved useless as my page was spammed with what seemed like an endless stream of disparaging and hateful remarks. However, in hindsight, the volume of negative feedback was not as overwhelming as it felt in the moment.

Subsequently, I found solace in my support network, who helped me realize that my endeavors were not invalidated by the disapproval of unknown individuals on the internet. Rather than succumbing to despair, I resolved to persevere, viewing the ordeal as a valuable lesson. I cultivated resilience, learning to deflect negativity and acknowledging that while my content may not resonate with everyone, it could still positively impact those who chose not to engage negatively. Henceforth, my aim has been to foster a community of encouragement and kindness, ensuring that no one experiences the same distress and pain provoked by those disparaging comments randomly left on your social media by strangers on the internet.
