We were lucky to catch up with Tifani Bogue recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Tifani thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you as a business owner?

One important lesson that I’ve learned in a prior job would be to push past frustration and tiredness to get things done but doing it right. I’ve also learned to do things that make you genuinely happy and if a 9-5 job isn’t doing that, then leave!

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?

When it comes to marketing these days it’s not as hard! Social media runs the world right now. If you share your content on socials you’d get all types of attention, good or bad. So you have to understand all that comes with marketing and how it works. Get your family and friends samples of your products or services and have them share on their socials! You’d get a lot of attention by staying consistent!

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

My initial funding for my business came from my refund checks in college! I was pursuing a masters in elementary education and staved my checks to fund my business. I didn’t want to have to use my paychecks.
