We recently connected with Kennethia Fitzpatrick and have shared our conversation below.

Kennethia, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?

One of my customer came to me after suffering from eczema mostly her whole life . She tried many different products to try to help soothe her eczema and hopefully maintain the inflammation it caused all over her body . Those products did not give her the results she needed she began giving up. She discovered my business page and began reaching out to me asking me about my products , I explained to her many of the ingredients I use that might differ from other brands and skin care lines. She purchased our tumeric and honey scrub bundle, a few weeks later she began messaging me telling me she loved the results & plan to continue to use them . Months passed and she reached out again explaining to me how she had not been very consistent on her routine I encouraged her that in order to maintain and gain the results she desired she must be consistent . Beginning of 2023 she came to me needing more products , I was in shock at the results thus far I took the time to talk to her and explain to her the importance of maintaining a good diet health as well as skin health I explained how diet plays a huge part in our skin care .. furthermore what goes in must come out we started talking about the things to avoid that can cause inflammation inside and outside of the body . She began trying many of my other products such as my homemade breastmilk & oats soap & my coffee and brown sugar scrub. About 6 months later I received a call and many pics showing me her progress. She was so grateful that I was able to come into her life and successfully help her clear her skin up , the best thing about her success is that she stayed consistent and trusted the process and that’s exactly what I do to keep flowing and growing with my business.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Peace My Name is Kennethia Fitzpatrick I’m 26years old I reside in Kansas City Missouri. I was raised by my father who was a Chef who only believed heavily on natural ingredients, natural remedies so growing up with him I learned a lot about healthy alternatives. I looked up to my father and soon became a chef as well , I went to school and gained my culinary arts & hospitality Certificate in 2015 from there I worked in restaurants and hotels , conventional centers etc. 2020 was the year I began researching & finding ways to create my own products which began with lip glosses. I was laid off my job when COVID hit which gave me that push to invest more into my craft I then began the legalization process and began my business in April Of 2020. I love what I do I’m able to show up for the community and provide them with healthy alternatives to skin care. I have 3 small children and I strive to push generation wealth & wealth while teaching others to do the same.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

When I began my business I went in with so positive energy. At that time I did not have a daughter but my dream and hopes was that this business would be passed down to her. I worked for a restaurant for over a year learning tips and tricks to my craft which started as cooking. I was very inspired and motivated I was the only black female chef at that time. Once Covid hit I was terminated and never called back. I used my last funds from that job to start the process of my business. I looked up ways to start I began creating my business plan and writing down tools needed to start. I created a budget and went off hope.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

When I first began to grasp the idea of creating my own skin care products I studied the products I had previously used such as my last bath and body works lip gloss. I studied the ingredients and began seeing they were toxic even though I loved that lip gloss I had to let it go. I learned new ingredients and their benefits. Many of the ingredients used are made from plants and other organic fruits and nuts.
