We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Robyn Lopez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Robyn below.
Robyn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission to open a café was because my entire life I grew up in my family business which was a bakery/pizzeria. So, being around a family owned small business, I’ve always had a drive to own my own business some day, and I have always had a passion for cooking. I always had a dream to cook in a small setting with all fresh food and ingredients, nothing ever frozen. I owned a food truck first for a couple of years, which then turned into a brick and mortar location during COVID. And here we are now, almost 3 years in, with our little cafe!
Robyn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a married mother of two girls, ages 26 and 16. I got into the industry because I was born into it. My parents owned a very successful Bakery for 49 years in Vineland which led me to want to own my own business and share my love of fresh homemade food with my community. I think some of the things that set us apart is all of our food is fresh daily. Every chicken tender, chicken breast, hamburger and the list goes on, is all in house made and prepared every day with the freshest ingredients that are brought in daily. I think another thing that sets us apart and makes us so special is that we always have creative, new, fun menu items every weekend. You can expect something different every time you come in, in addition to our regular menu. This is definitely something that you don’t find locally here in Vineland. I’m most proud of the fact that we can give back to our community as much as possible and that our business is thriving in the 3 short years we’ve been open.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think being well known in the community has definitely had a positive impact on the success of our business.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I feel like we gain a lot of new customers via social media. We’ve also had a lot of YouTube and TikTok influencers make videos that have gone viral which has also helped.
