Andi , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think success is different for everyone. Some people are driven by money and others by popularity. I think success can be little bit of a lot of those things. For me being successful is being able to do something that I love and being financially comfortable.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am someone who has always loved good food and travel. That’s how I started my Instagram , by sharing the new restaurants that we tried or the new recipes that my husband would make. Then slowly when we were able to travel more and discover even more amazing food it became more of a food and travel page. For me I love showing others that travel doesn’t need to be grand and really simple food can be amazing. You can travel close or far and have a great time.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of getting to do Youtube and Instagram is getting to visit new places and see and try new things that I may not have known about before. It is so cool hearing the stories from the owners of how they started their business and their motivation behind their businesses.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think that building a reputation means being honest about the food I try and the places that we visit. If a restaurant isn’t good then I won’t post about it and if I had a bad experience at a hotel or a vacation didn’t go as planned then I will say so. But I hope that people see the honesty in what I’m saying.
