We were lucky to catch up with Robin Lindner recently and have shared our conversation below.
Robin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.
Supporting artists and fostering positive experiences for underserved communities are paramount in cultivating a vibrant and inclusive cultural landscape. KWFamous actively seeks out and amplifies the voices of marginalized artists, we not only enrich our artistic tapestry but also promote diversity, equity, and empathy. Providing resources, platforms, and opportunities for underserved artists enables them to share their unique perspectives and talents with the world, creating enriching experiences that challenge societal norms and inspire meaningful dialogue. Embracing inclusivity in the arts not only benefits individual artists but also cultivates a more compassionate and interconnected society where everyone’s story is valued and celebrated.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We find market gaps, do extensive research and community consultation to find what this region needs. We build our events from shared objectives and values with our partners including you! We love KW and want to show as many people as possible what makes it so great.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, we realized it was time to shake things up. With big gatherings out of the picture, we quickly switched gears, trading grand events for cozy get-togethers in safe spots.
Knowing how important it is to stay connected, we came up with a new plan that puts everyone’s health first while still keeping the vibe of our shindigs alive. By going for smaller gatherings, we could create chill settings where folks could still have a blast discovering cool stuff, enjoying live tunes, and chowing down on tasty bites—all while keeping things safe and sound.
This change-up didn’t just help us roll with the punches; it also showed our commitment to making experiences that really hit home. As we navigate these crazy times, our goal remains the same: bringing folks together for some good times, a trip down memory lane, and a whole lot of heart, proving that even when things get tough, we can still keep the good vibes going.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
