I vividly recall a transformative moment during a late-night online shopping session, preparing essentials for one of my mentees as she embarked on her college journey. Financial struggles weighed on my mind, prompting a question that echoed in the quiet of the night: “Kay, what are you doing?”

Amidst this introspection, fate intervened in the form of a documentary featuring Tina Turner. As I watched Tina passionately describe the exhilaration of performing on stage and bringing joy to audiences, she spoke about purpose with unwavering conviction. Her challenge to discover one’s purpose struck a chord deep within me.

In that instant, I realized the profound fulfillment I experienced when mentoring young women to achieve their goals. The joy and pride that swelled within me upon seeing them succeed were unparalleled. It was a feeling beyond any other, a confirmation of my purpose.
