Hi HeYi, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
In my creative endeavors, I have always aimed to convey the world as I see it and to offer a unique perspective to it, both in terms of visual style and philosophical thought. In the realm of film and television production, I continually strive to find the balance between reality and fantasy. My personal philosophy holds that the world we live in is at once magnificent and brutally harsh. The will of the universe remains unaltered by the existence of individuals, and human strength is insignificant against it. Yet, despite this, the unique significance of each person’s life lies in their ability to assign value to themselves in their own unique way. In the face of the cosmos, the definitions humans give to themselves shine the brightest and most dazzling for them. This small act of defiance might seem insignificant from a macro perspective, but in every individual’s heart, it is eternal and truthful. My creative work is dedicated to capturing these eternal moments. This is evident in my recent work ‘MingLing,’ which focuses on the identity crisis of a Chinese assassin in the land of freedom. He fights against both overt and covert discrimination to defend his own sense of right, choosing to confront fate by sacrificing his life in a critical decision, embodying an anti-hero. The story deconstructs the city of Los Angeles visually and aurally, blending with the element of ‘fog’ to recreate a night in LA that feels both familiar and alien to the audience. All of this serves my creative philosophy. In summary, I hope to leave a legacy that offers a unique experience, allowing others to feel how the world can change in their hearts through individual effort and reflect into the real universe—a unique, idealistic, and romantic experience.

I am a filmmaker and a storyteller, also adept at assembling teams. I often prefer to tell my own stories while helping others present their narratives and experiences. I excel in providing audiences with a sensory and emotional impact, creating imaginative content, and achieving cinematic-level audiovisual quality. Additionally, I am skilled in orchestrating conflicts, narrating stories, sculpting characters, and completing scripts or copywriting. From the initial idea to the final distribution, I can manage the entire process of video content creation.
My work is centered around storytelling with a strong emphasis on visual and auditory experience. This approach allows me to bring to life stories that engage audiences deeply, making each project unique and memorable. I take pride in my ability to transform ideas into compelling stories that resonate with viewers on an emotional level.
What sets me apart in the industry is my comprehensive skill set—from concept development to production and distribution. I’m not just a filmmaker; I’m a creative force capable of bringing together diverse talents to create something truly special.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I believe the greatest aspect of creating is the ability to build bridges for communication between others and the inner universe of oneself, transcending time and space. The moment a piece of work is completed, knowing it will be remembered by people, existing as a unique emotional presence and connecting with the world, is what brings me the most joy. Moreover, creating allows me to feel that my self-worth is realized. Through the creative process, I truly feel alive, embracing the pleasures that life offers.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe the best strategy for building one’s reputation in the market is to start by taking action. In the process of working, you’ll meet a multitude of diverse individuals. Some may recognize your talents, while others might not. However, it’s undeniable that the more you do, the more your strengths are likely to be discovered by others. Maintaining positive relationships with these people and leveraging referrals to take on jobs that challenge your capabilities can significantly enhance your perceived ability in the eyes of others, thereby improving and expanding your reputation.
This approach underscores the importance of visibility through action. It’s not just about the quality of work you produce but also about the connections you forge and maintain along the way. Each project and collaboration is an opportunity to showcase your skills and to push the boundaries of what you can achieve.
