We recently connected with Ashlee DiSalvo and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Ashlee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

In 2022 I left a decades long teaching career to focus 100% of my time and efforts on my business The Clear Estate and healing the world one person at a time. I have been tenured at the school I was working at and had 9 years of seniority within my pension. I invested in a Masters Degree that I still hadn’t paid off and had I stayed for ONE MORE YEAR I would have had my school debt forgiven. When COVID hit I took disability because I did not believe in how we were managing students and staff as a profession. We had not taught kids how to use technology in a way which translated to 100% at home learning and we certainly didn’t have enough training as teachers to create and utilize technology to teach our classes 100% online in an efficient way that resulted in adequate education for students. Yet we were forcing it – making all stakeholders extremely nervous and stressed on top of the impending doom of an epidemic and the isolation of the quarantines imposed on us as a society. I couldn’t take it and I didn’t agree so I stepped back. During that time I did A LOT of healing and tried many mediums to help me get my mind and body right. I started attending self empowerment seminars and retreats and I got certified in Spiritual Response Therapy.
When I returned to work I felt disillusioned and disconnected from the other teachers who I could see were burned out and suffering from cabin fever – now struggling to assimilate to social life again. The disconnect with students was even more mortifying.
So although I had all the “cushy” benefits and seniority I felt that the institution I worked for and spent years of my life and schooling in was no longer in alignment with my ideals.
At the time I left teaching I had about 5 returning clients and no idea how I was going to make enough money to survive but I knew I could no longer live this way. My purpose was bigger. So I left and within the year I was making more money than I had made the previous year teaching and working a fifth of the hours. I had discover liberty and autonomy in creating my own business healing others. I created multiple 5 figure offerings that year and sold them to over 12 clients, some of whom I am still serving in that capacity. I wrote a book which serves as a “work at your own pace” curriculum and guided journaling experience. I spent a month in Hawaii at the start of the 22-23 school year and co-produced a song with my now fiancé called “You’re the One” streaming on all major platforms, played in over 80 countries, and has over 20,000 streams. I spent a month in Europe the following summer for my 33rd birthday. I have spoke at Healing Events and Expos all over So-Cal and in Arizona, and Hawaii.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Ashlee DiSalvo. I am a former NCAA Division 2 athlete. I was born and raised near Buffalo, NY and completed my undergrad in New Jersey about 8 miles Birds Eye view of Manhattan. I co-majored at Felician university in Mathematics and Education. In my “past life” I created and directed my own Volleyball club (LAVA Pasadena) and coached boys and girls high school Volleyball at multiple schools in San Gabriel Valley in California. I am a Master of Education with a focus in Digital Research having worked as a High School Librarian as well as a High School Math teacher in my decades long career in education.

Now I own my company The Clear Estate where I heal clients using a practice called Spiritual Response Therapy. I use my psychic ability to better assist my clients in creating spiritual routines that compliment their life and aid them in transforming aspects of their relationships, health, wealth, and purpose. I am a healer, psychic, entrepreneur, author, public speaker, teacher, coach, podcast host, dj, musician, cat lover, wanderer, and visionary.

I got into my industry during COVID when I started my healing journey. My divorce and the impending doom of the world pushed me to dive deeper into therapy, healing, and my own spirituality. I provide many psychic services as well as coaching services. My certification is in Spiritual Response Therapy which is a form of Past Life Regression work. I also read tarot, oracle, and commune with the dead.

I am also an award winning author having been honored on the Brainz Magazine Global 500 as an Executive Contributor. I self published my first book in 2023 called “Amore – Find Your Love Pattern” which ranked Top Seller in New Releases: Friendship the week of its release. My most recent venture was starting a PodCast called “Live in the Hive” streaming on Youtube. We have 7 episodes shot and 4 released with the new episode upcoming this week.

I am most proud of the knowledge I bring to my clients in helping them solve problems in their life. With my eclectic certified background I bring solutions to my clients in a strategic way from a loving place all with a psychic knowing. Numbers don’t lie and my business has thrived on reviews and referral only. I have never paid for marketing or used any strategies for marketing to gain clientele. I love the work I do and have given everything up to follow my calling and purpose. My niche is also something I take pride in being that most people have not experience the type of healing or psychic work that I perform. It is a new experience for almost all of my clients and that creates an energy of excitement to every session I complete. My work and my approach is not only unique in general but also hand crafter to each client I work with. I do not sell cookie cutter offerings like most coaches. Each program I offer is especially designed for that human.

Have you ever had to pivot?

Around August of this year I had my first ever missed payment for a monthly mentorship package I had offered. I had been with these clients for almost a year and they had been making huge shifts in their lives – they had just started to build their house, got engaged, started new business, left old ones, and were connecting more deeply with each other. Yet some mismanaging of money left them short and unable to pay me multiple 4 figures and it was teriffying. In that moment I realized that I needed to expand my sources of income and look for other ways to make money using the gifts and skills I had acquired in the previous year. I decided to invest into a pop up booth so I could “take my show on the road” around to events, fairs, and expos. The most beautiful part of it was that although I felt “forced” to pivot it was exactly what I was missing in feeling disconnected from people (as I now was working from home over the phone) and also helped me to embrace my community. The creative juices flowed and allowed me to deepen my connection to my brand and fully immerse myself in the history of my craft and really see how it formed a community of traveling psychics who lived and worked in tandem with each other. I met new people and also new clients and even found new ways to offer my services. This even led my to begin public speaking at some of the events which also blossomed into some amazing opportunities to travel and share my gifts to help heal the world in other neighboring states and in Hawaii.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

My current business was once my side hustle. I became certified as a healer during COVID. I had taken the class because I was fed up with the teaching career and was feeling less and less impactful on an uninterested and detached classroom. Not to mention a group of colleagues who were clearly struggling with mental health due to overworking which resulted in a lack of compassion for students. Spiritual Response Therapy was so pivotal to my healing journey and spiritual awakening that I felt the need to more deeply understand the process simply to deepen my own healing. Simultaneously during this time I started completing self-help seminars and retreats through the company PSI (Personal Success Institute). At the completion of their Basic Seminar I set a goal to meditate 10 minutes a day and get certified to heal. Almost six months later, at the end of their 7 day retreat, I was certified and committed to starting my business. Somehow ALL of my friends and newly acquired PSI family were interested in trying out this different form of energy work that no one had heard of. There was so many results and so much magic that they drove my business through referral – so much so that I’ve never had a marketing plan or team and I made nearly 6 figures last year (in the second year of my business). Scaling for my business has been all about building relationship and creating an experience for my clientele that is unforgettable not only because of the process and the findings but also because of their connection with me and their trust in my capactiy to hold space for them during their healing. Atmosphere , dialogue, and general compassion are what helped me scale my service business.
