We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Harry. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevin below.
Hi Kevin, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I personally believe everyone deserves to exist in photographs. We are often inundated with images that are constantly played out in the media about beauty as it relates to the perfect weight, ideal age or skin color.
I have been fortunate to have shot everyone from a 6 month old upwards to an 83 year young grandmother. I am actually running a marketing campaign specifically targeting women over 40 yrs of age to come in for a personalized makeover glam session.

Kevin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My love for photography initially started as a hobby back in the days of having to get rolls of film developed at the local drug store. As a performer, I was often frustrated that I didn’t have a way to document all of the fantastic things I encountered in my travels and stage career due to bulky cameras, rising film costs, and a slowly dying media. Fast forward to the invention of the iPhone, I had a camera in my pocket all all times!
I recall the moment I went from taking “just a picture” to shooting a portrait. It was exciting for me creatively, but even more enjoyable to see the reaction on my subjects face when she saw her photo. I embarked on an iPhone only portrait challenge. I realized I was on to something when professional photographers started to follow me on Instagram and comment on my photos.
I followed actors, singers, and too many Facebook friends with a camera phone in hand. I quickly realized that I love to shoot people, especially people. 3,000 portraits later I finally picked up a DSLR and have been off and running!
Photography has a way of connecting people, as well as telling their story. So now the question remains, what story do you want to tell?
I specialize in magazine style photo shoots for everyday people. My work varies from fine art portraiture, vintage Hollywood glamour, social media branding and headshots.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of my job is the joy my clients feel after our shoot. They have fun, get to let loose, and perhaps see themselves visually in ways they may not have seen before.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
Here is an interesting tidbit, I had been shooting for fun, and semi-professional for a couple of years. I decided to take things seriously about 2 years ago and went through the stages of getting incorporated, launching a website etc. I had a soft launch and only contacted a small group of friends via Facebook letting them know I was accepting bookings.
Unfortunately Covid happened and we went into the first quarantine. I thought I was doomed and started to second guess my decision. I sent a note to my friends and crafted a “get out of quarantine” promo message. The idea was once the quarantine was over , they could come in and get a glam makeover shoot. I initially thought I would get 1-2 bites, but the response went a little viral. What started off as a few people, eventually turned to my message getting forwarded.
I was not initially setup to handle all the inquiries, so a word of advice…be prepared! I was originally shooting out of my house, but that became too much to handle balancing everyday life and strangers in the house getting their makeup done in the kitchen.
Due to the demand, and ease of experience I opened a small boutique studio near my house and have been shooting out of it for the past 1.5 years.
