Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Allison Duine. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Allison, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
So many of our projects are meaningful, we focus on nonprofit and love projects with purpose. I think recently the most meaningful was a new online presence for The Good Samaritan Mission. A friend and mentor of mine accepted a calling to move across the country to become the new CEO of The Good Samaritan Mission. The organization was underserved, misrepresented and lacked a credible online presence. We worked with them to dig deep and truly understand the mission, their challenges, goals and community they serve. We worked closely with leadership to strategize, plan and develop a new online presence that give a very positive impression and light to the organization. We added 12 ways to give and support the organization, shared current needs with the community, shared some heart warming stories of change, integrated a more efficient and effective donation platform and overview of the top programs. We have received an outpouring of positive feedback from both the community and the people they serve. We love helping nonprofit and organizations for good share their impact with the world, increase awareness and build trust within the community and also donor confidence and trust.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I went to the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale thinking I was going to become a commercial artist, maybe painting cards for Hallmark. We were hand lettering fonts, creating artwork through all of the traditional mediums. My very last quarter, they introduced us to the computer, an IBM computer. It was ok, but I did not take to it. After graduation, my Dad got me a “word processor” so I could work on a resume…. that “word processor” was an Apple computer. I called my Dad and told him there was design software for that and we ordered the super thick, heavy book based manuals and CD based software. I started to learn the tools and fell head over heels in love with digital. I have not picked up a paintbrush, or any other traditional means of art. I became a digital diva. My world changed and I was so inspired. I worked at a few advertising agencies, then landed a job at an well known Internet company during the dot-com boom and furthered my passion for the digital design landscape. Years later, in 2002, I started my own company, Intersection Online, Inc. Over the years I’ve grown the team, expanded service offerings and forged some pretty incredible long term relationships and partnerships with our clients. Our mission is to consistently deliver distinctive solutions that resonate with people and yield tangible results. This commitment is upheld through exceptional design, innovative brand messaging, and unforgettable user experiences. What sets us apart is our visionary approach—we’re not an assembly line operation. Instead, we aspire to be your comprehensive digital partner, involved in every stage from conception to the final product and beyond. We prioritize reliability, enjoy what we do, and seamlessly integrate as a direct extension of our clients teams, working with them, not for them.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for us has been referrals and word of mouth. It is not easy to always to the right thing, it is not easy to always exceed expectations and it is not easy to maintain, sustain and nurture client relationships. It takes effort, it takes extra, it takes strength and resilience to push a little harder, to work a little harder, to cut no corners, to never under deliver and operate with integrity. The result of those efforts and not settling for mediocre, for always striving for better and doing the right thing continue to yield dividends. The feeling in your heart knowing you gave it all, did your best and did it in a truly ethical fashion fill my heart.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
There are three key books that have greatly impacted my path and success. The first one, Unlimited Power by Tony Robbins was the catalyst that drove me to take action and start my business. The second one is Relentless by Tim Grover, a mindset coach for Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and hundreds of others. The third book that influenced my success would be the Way of the Wolf: Straight Line Selling: Master the Art of Persuasion, Influence, and Success by Jordan Belfort.
