Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yvonne Elmasri. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Yvonne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
It was durning Covid and I knew a few people close to me who had lost relatives or friends. I started to notice a big decline in human connections and a vast amount of depression and isolation. For myself I always need a creative outlet of some sort to maintain a positive mindset and stay motivated so I started designing on the side. Although Project Love Apparel speaks to many on different levels I really created it as my own outlet to be expressive and maintain hope. And within that was the vision that it would help others as well.
Yvonne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
In a bustling market filled with countless clothing brands, Project Love Apparel stands out as a beacon of love, positivity, and creativity. What I am most proud of is the synergy between our customers and the brand. and our direct messages on Instagram from followers, people relating with what our apparel conveys, always is a win.
The craziest thing, when a customer puts on a “Addicted 2 Peace” Sweatshirt they actually “feel” it. I receive these messages all the time. Love is powerful, it heals, it spreads and if Project Love Apparel can be a small part of that, then I’m happy.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being as authentic and transparent as possible. I worked hard to source the right products, materials and quality. I want every customer to feel good when they receive their purchase. Good enough to send us photos and share! If there is an issue we will refund, no questions asked but luckily we haven’t had a refund request yet. Customer satisfaction, good quality and sharing positive thoughts and messages is what we aim for.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I would say the same thing. Be authentic and real, Build from the ground up. Having 50 real followers is better than 500 fake ones. Find people that really resonate with what you are doing, selling and conveying. Don’t worry about the number. Focus on the quality. Tap into what’s really important to you and the right people will come. Do not post for the sake of posting. Only post when you truly have something to say or share.
