We were lucky to catch up with Stefanos & Stephanie Ferousis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stefanos & Stephanie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.

We strive to do this while still ensuring to keep an old fashion sense of work ethic & values.
This combination ensures we are providing the best for our clients’ home or investment every. single. time.
Stefanos & Stephanie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
As the founders of Professional Grade, we’ve been together for 8 years now. From the very beginning we knew we wanted to build something great together. From building a company to a family, we do everything as a team. Over the last 8 years we not only built a company together but built up a team within the company.
Our team is composed of like-minded individuals who also love what they do. We ensure to provide a way for our crew members to grow and expand with us. We prioritize building a relationship-based culture within the company. A happy and fulfilled team is one of the keys to providing the very best product to our clients.
As a company in general we specialize in a wide range of construction services, in both the Residential and Commerical markets. Our services include new construction, remodeling, renovations, roofing, siding, decks, windows. The growing team of professionals we built is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
At the beginning we ensured to keep the mindset of no reputation is better than a bad reputation. Especially in the industry we are in, it is critical not take on more than you and your team can handle. Knowing our limits and when a project wasn’t able to fit in our schedule at the time, allowed us to find customers who were more than happy to be put on the schedule months down the road!
Booking out projects in advance allowed us to grow exponentially. It also allowed us time to ensure when we got to the start day of a new project every detail was perfectly planned to be executed exactly how our customer dreamed it.
Over the years another large focus of ours was ensuring that at the end of each project our customer walked away happy and excited to leave us a 5-star review. The more reviews we got over the years, the more confidence built within our community.
We successfully created a reputation in our market as a local construction company our community can trust to show up, Produce great results & stand behind everything we do.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
From my experience, my advice would be finding the strengths and weaknesses of each crew member allowing you to best delegate to the individual that is best suited for the task, this provides confidence and proficiency among the team.
When you’re managing a team, providing the best task for each member, keeps production is high. When a team is high producing, morale follows naturally.
In addition to that, building relationships with each team member is a critical part of maintaining morale. We implement frequent reviews and chats between management and team members to give each side time to provide constructive criticism, personal goals & to address issues or concerns. This gives dedicated time to work through issues or build improvements together.
