Bianca, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

From a young age, I harbored a clear inclination towards pursuing a career in the realm of creativity. My journey commenced with a fortunate opportunity to engage in the operations of the Clayton County Performance Art Center during my high school years, assuming the role of an Associate Theater Technician. This experience served as a profound catalyst for my artistic aspirations, igniting a passion that continues to shape my professional endeavors.

My journey into the creative realm began early in high school when I immersed myself in the world of theater at the Clayton County Performance Arts Center as an Associate Technician. This role provided me with invaluable experience in bringing creative concepts to life, laying the foundation for my future endeavors. Inspired by this formative experience, I founded Audio_Video_Club, a platform dedicated to the exploration of visuals and sound through events, exhibits, and workshops.

At Audio_Video_Club, we strive to redefine the way people engage with audiovisual creativity. Our mission is to make the art of film and cinema more accessible and engaging to all, regardless of background or skill level. We host a variety of film-based events, from screenings to discussions, creating a space where filmmakers and enthusiasts alike can come together to celebrate and explore the power of visual storytelling.

What sets us apart is our commitment to community-building and innovation. We started Audio_Video_Club during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to foster connection and creativity during a time of isolation. What began as pop-up screenings in locations like 97 Estoria in Cabbagetown has since evolved into a thriving community of filmmakers and cinephiles. With the support of our partners like ATLFilmParty, Videodrome, and The Plaza, along with our dedicated volunteers, we’ve been able to expand our reach and offer even more engaging experiences to our audience.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain dedicated to pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas. We’re constantly seeking out new ways to serve and strengthen our community, whether through innovative events or collaborations with local businesses and organizations.
