We recently connected with Constanza LAGUNA ROLDÁN and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Constanza thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
It´s difficult to know what would it be better… My first jobs were as economist, and I enjoyed it. Arts was my second degree and I studied it just for pleasure. I never thought it could be the begin of a new career but here I am. I think that all my previous life has enriched what I´m creating now.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I love to create new things, I´m in a continous search of new ways to put into art what I discover when I observe people. I´m fascinated with the complexity of humans and thats the reason I´ve focus on emotional portraits using all the technics I can. I make sculptures, paintings, drawings, and many times a mix of different technics. What you can find in all my creations is a deep way of looking the person I portray. I try to reflect the soul and history of the protagonist of my creation.
One of my latest works is being a serie of emotional portraits of women artists that were out of Art History books. It´s a collection of metal sculptures plenty of colors. I showed some of them at Rome, New York and Miami, and I appreciate very much it had a very good reception.
Now I´m working on commissioned portraits and I´m so exited with it.
Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
I am no expert but I´m very curious about possibilities it offers of getting my art out to more people and to sell directly digital versions of my art and benefiting when the price goes up.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
