We were lucky to catch up with Alex Goransson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alex, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I have had that thought many times over and over again and sometimes I would say yes I wish I started earlier. But then later thinking back on everything I’ve learned and experienced doing other professions and I wouldn’t changed anything. Im a big believer everything happens for a reason.
At the same time having those thought of “I wish I started earlier” gives me that extra fire to work harder everyday and not giving up until it happens.
but to be more clear, cause sometimes I don’t even know what im talking about, no I don’t wish I started earlier haha

Alex, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
so I little bit about myself. Long story short, I am born in a little viking town called “Trelleborg” Sweden. Started my career at 15 years old as a Professional European handboll player. Did that for about 5 years, never felt fulfilled so I put my shoes in the locker room and moved over to America to pursue Music “guitar”. For about 3 years I played all over Los Angeles and everything went great but same feeling came back “never felt fulfilled”.
After that I tried an acting class, fell in love right away. A few months in a booked my first commercial for Facebook and while on set booked a lead for a feature film. Never been happier and i finally found my true passion. And a few years later I’m here.
Now when I found my passion there’s nothing that will stop me.
Im a big believer that if you just stay humble, happy, work hard and never give up, there’s nothing we can’t do.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
There’s one goal/mission that’s drives me everyday. How movies helped me and motivated me as a kid, that’s what I want to do for other people. Be able to tell someone els story or with a story help people all over the world, can’t really beat that.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Of course, like I said before, telling someone story and inspire other people. But also proving myself wrong. There so many times where I don’t think I can do it, it’s too scary and I’m just doubting myself.
That feeling afterwards of taking that jump, just go for it is priceless. Something that will never get old.
