KaSundra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?

My first job was at perfection to a tee hair salon in Rochester NY. I was first introduced to her by my father. Both of our dad’s knew each other of the years from work. I came to her salon after being fired from another upscale salon, that didn’t see my value.

At perfection to a Tee salon, I was able to have a home and real support from Mrs Tee and her staff to grow. Being there help me to see my purpose and passion for nails and the beauty industry.

KaSundra Anderson: Master of Elegance in Nail Artistry KaSundra Anderson is the visionary behind Sol Oasis LLC/Nail Spa Haven, where her expertise as a Master Pedicurist, Nail Artist, and Esthetician shines. Holding the esteemed role of Regional GA & Alabama Educator Ambassador for Dazzle Dry Nail Lacquer, KaSundra has earned recognition as a celebrity nail artist, having worked with renowned personalities such as Tyler Perry, Oprah, and Gladys Knight.
Her educational background is robust and diverse, highlighted by her certification as a Master Pedicurist from the North American School of Podology in 2018. Further back, in 2006, she delved into the world of Esthetics at the Georgia Career Institute. KaSundra’s professionalism is also backed by licenses in both esthetician and nail specialty from the Georgia State Cosmetology Board, showcasing her commitment and legal endorsement to practice her craft.
Before stepping into her current successes, KaSundra laid her academic foundations at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the State University of New York College at Buffalo, earning a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Textile and Technology. Her journey in the beauty and fashion industry began in Rochester, New York, where she earned her initial New York License in Nail Specialty.
KaSundra’s career is decorated with significant accomplishments, including notable services at events like Essence Magazine photo shoots, T.D Jakes’ MegaFest, and even the Oscars Awards Celebrities Suites, among others. She has consistently demonstrated her skill at various high-profile events, providing unparalleled spa pampering services.
Her professional skills span a wide range of treatments and techniques, including Satin Smooth Waxing and OPI’s extensive product lines for acrylics, gels, wraps, manicures, and pedicures. KaSundra’s experience as an educator for Dazzle Dry, coupled with her previous roles at Bliss Spa and as an independent contractor, reflects her versatility and commitment to excellence in the beauty industry.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

Having passion with a purpose to serve. God is my foundation in this life; having his grace and mercy, is everything. I want people to feel a little peace in their crazy, demanding lifestyle. I have to do my best to be kind and serve God’s children.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

being able to stay afloat during covid and this economy shift
