We recently connected with Hosea 2Hollow and have shared our conversation below.

Hosea, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?

I would say I’m satisfied as an artist but I know there’s more to be done. The more I’m learning about this industry the more fun I have with it. From the little things to the business side, it’s like one big video game with a bunch of missions.

Hosea, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m Hosea2Hollow out of Kansas City, Missouri. A true artist who has developed and perfected a craft based off my experiences and aritistic abilities. I’ve always been into music and production since a little kid but never did anything with it till high school. Once I started getting a little traction, I realized why not take advantage of my talent and use it for something greater you know. I feel like that what separates me from other artists today. The ability to transfer different thoughts in my head onto instrumentals, videos, etc. I feel like that’s what I’m most proud of and what I really build myself on.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

Multiple resources but I’d say marketing and a budget is the most important. You can have a billboard hit and nobody will hear it if you don’t put it out there or have the budget to market it. You’ll need to pay for promotion, pay djs to spin it, pay to boost to more followers and advertisements. You get out what you put in.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The impact I get to make. Every time somebody new or even a consistent supporter says how much progress I made or how I’ve changed they perspective it’s really fulfilling and makes me need to go harder than before. If I’m going to be honest you never really know who’s listening or who you inspire until somebody says something.
