We were lucky to catch up with Commando Luv recently and have shared our conversation below.
Commando , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Throughout my music career I’ve learned that you have to be willing to take some risks. I never imagined opening up for major acts like “Toosie 2x” or setting up my own tour if I didn’t risk a little time, effort, & money! Traveling city to city/state to state can be exhausting, expensive, & dangerous; but with the right mindset & intentions, your journey to success is already in motion!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Commando Luv grew up in a household of 7. Two brothers, two sisters, & of course his mother & father. As a kid, he use to sing in the church choir. He also joined the school’s chorus program! Band played a huge role in his musical come up. The clarinet was his favorite instrument to play in middle & high school. After graduating, Commando signed with a label called “Nitram Knarf Inc.” & started recording music/performing live gigs up & down the east coast with a group name “Phaze 5”. Luv is now an independent artist on the path of building his own name & brand.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Nothing in particular. But if I were to just stop pursuing my dreams & give up, the thought of “what if I would of kept going” will haunt me forever! So I keep the hope alive & continue to strive because you just never know when your big break will come!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist in my opinion is the finished artwork itself. I use to have so many unfinished projects/songs that I thought would never get finished. But once you finish your master piece the work that was into it will be all worth it!
