Big, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

Risks are scary. They are uncertain. They are hopes. They are dreams. Don’t we as humans all have hopes and dreams? In this profession, risks are part of the job. For me, I’m not always sure if a record will resonate with people or if it will reach the masses that I intend. So I release them anyway because I love the art. No one ever got too far in life without taking a risk in some point. So jump out and do it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m a sailor who makes music. Sounds crazy right? But yes, I’m currently Active Duty and will be retiring from service soon in a few years. I have always written rhymes down, it wasn’t until I was maybe 20 that I really recorded my first record with my mentor, Shoota McGavin, in Washington. A lot of things that I have been blessed to do was all from the grace of God and Trial & Error. One of my aliases is “The King Of Trunk Muzik”. It’s the genre of Hip-Hop that I grew up on and I love it so much. I’m proud of the fact that I am able to stay true to myself via the music I create. I’ve been blessed to work with my rap heroes and fellow artists from various genres.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being able to share myself with the world. Many people may relate or be in a similar situation that I’m writing about and are able to know that someone else is going through the same thing. At the end of the day, artists are people too. Music is how I express myself. It’s therapy for me.
