We were lucky to catch up with Shemariah Pradia recently and have shared our conversation below.
Shemariah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We believe kindness is contagious and so we’d love for you to share with us and our audience about the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
So the kindest thing someone has done for me.As far as for my business was extend. Her media platform and offer me my first interview where I am actually on screen and I am talking about my business. This young lady I Met at an event and we became friends and we see each other at least once a year. And she’s always telling me how proud she is of me. So the last few weeks she reached out to me and invited me out on a platform different than normal. For me and I had an amazing time. And I feel like that was a blessing because she could have picked anyone and she picked me.So that really meant a lot to me.So I wanted to tell her.Thank you so much. And I appreciate what she did for me.

Shemariah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So basically I am a self. Made celebrity chef. I relocated from Virginia and I made my way to outside Atlanta, Georgia. I am a disabled Veteran and I worked in the medical field when I was in the U.S Navy. I am a breast cancer survivor and I live with lupus and I travel internationally and speak to women and families about these two unfortunate diseases. I started my business during Covid ,and it has growth. I am about giving experiences when people eat and happy vents and gather together.I want to make food a memorable a occasion. My newest adventure is public relations.Work that I am enjoying it right now.I have 2 clients.I have an Olympic athlete, gold medalist track-and-field.And I ha young lady that is an amazing actress and she’s starred in three movies. So I am excited to see what the future holes for me. Extremely blessed.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
So resilience for me speaks on the fact that I have major health issues, And in spite of those adverses I still find me in the mix. Those issues with breast cancer and systemic Lupus have made me want to fight harder.Than anything else that i’ve gone to in my life I fight for my children.I have three amazing sons and they are my world. I have learned that just because you have a disability or something has happened to you.Doesn’t mean that you can pursue your dreams, It doesn’t mean that you can’t live your life to the fullest, And it doesn’t mean that the world is ending.Sometimes it may feel like that but that’s not true. I take from these things I dig deep and I pray and I keep moving forward.

Any advice for managing a team?
Well, with me adding a military background. It is instilled in us that we are one team one fight. I was in a navy and The motto: is honor coverage and commitment and that has stuck with me .
I feel that Encouragement is always the best way to keep a high morale. Treating others the way that you want to be treated is also key. So that’s what I take with me When I am dealing with my team.
