Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andrew Pentland. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Andrew, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Evolution Restoration & Renovation is a business built on personal events and years of experience. Both owners Andrew Pentland & Juan Galvez have extensive knowledge in the restoration construction industry and have made it their mission to provide a better quality product to homeowners.

Andrew, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Andrew was introduced into this industry from his own home catching fire 3 weeks into owning it. Watching your home burn to the ground is a heart dropping event no one should experience. Faulty wiring and a defective breaker failed to trip and started an attic fire consuming the entire truss system. Never filing an insurance claim before he reached out to his insurance broker for assistance. Recommending a restoration contractor Andrew hired that contractor to build back his home. During the re-build he started working as a project manager for that contractor building back his own home and repairing and rebuilding homes for over 10 years. Eventually deciding on opening Evolution with Juan Galvez. Juan has been in the restoration construction industry for over 25 years. Starting off as a field tech with an asbestos abatement contractor in the late 90’s he grew within the company to becoming a site supervisor and gaining certifications in asbestos abatement, IICRC standards, mold remediation, and structural drying. Juan has become an expert in the industry and has taught training classes for asbestos institute. Many people rely on his knowledge and expertise in making sure work is done to proper standards. It is Evolutions mission to provide a personal approach to anyone dealing with an insurance loss or renovation. Customer care is something lost in business today, and Evolution strives to produce a quality product.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

I met Juan after a year of working for a restoration contractor. I was currently a project manager and Juan was hired as a mitigation manager. At first I thought he was after my job haha. Over the last 10 years we have built a good friendship, worked well together, and I consider him a brother not a business partner.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I feel that what helped build my reputation is my care about providing a quality product. Since I was 19 I worked in high end-oriented jobs, such as The Phoenician, and Mastros Restaurants. These establishments preached customer services and anticipating client’s needs. I give everything I have learned about providing exceptional service to these companies and I am grateful for that everyday.
