Alright, Malcolm X thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

I started @reformusa with mainly one goal in mind and that was to open one of the best indoor skate parks in a central location in Cleveland where everyone can get to and access.

I wanted to create a park that not only will serve the immediate purpose of a great skate park for skateboarders but a place to where at risk youth can come and be at the facility vs being bored and potentially getting into trouble cause of the area is tempting to be in trouble.

Malcolm X, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Well as of now as it stands I know what I’ve done and how far REFORMUSA has came but I’m still no where near satisfied. We need more capital to really do things and bring resources to Cleveland Ohio.
Unfortunately this brand ventures and expenses are all paid by me and we are far from being rich or extremely financially stable. With no investment I pretty much drop every dime into my company by bringing great designs and concepts for the bigger goal of building an indoor park for Cleveland.

It’s hard to say the least, very hard.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

HA! That’s every damn day for the last 12-13 years! I’m still here with no financial backing. Everything we do is resilient cause I never stopped believing what I knew I could do. My account has been in the negative or scarce plenty of times. There has been days to weeks where i didn’t make a dime but I kept pushing.

Definitely still in it now.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

I funded this business with my own money from 2013-14 to current day in 2024. I have not have been blessed with an opportunity for investment much like other brands who may have connections to very rich and powerful people. Unfortunately being born and raised from Cleveland there is very little to none of financially stable folks in an abundance like a Los Angeles or NYC.
