Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us; it’s a responsibility. Our salon has a system where we recycle 90% or materials in salon (including human hair). Our refill system encourages eco-consciousness, allowing clients to reuse bottles and receive discounts on refills.

Beyond hair care, our salon serves as a sanctuary for listening and understanding. Whether clients are navigating health concerns like cancer, sensitivities, or have made a lifestyle change in choosing health as priority, but often individuals overlook what they apply to their hair and body in the process. Through years of dedicated research on ingredients and their impact on the body, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the dangers of toxins and the importance of using safe alternatives.

With over 14 years of experience as a hair healer, I’ve witnessed remarkable transformations when clients embrace our brand’s values and rely on us with their journey to strong, healthy hair. My intense love for nature and concern for future generations drive me to take action, no matter how small or big, in promoting sustainable practices and educating others.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The approach I took to grow my clientele was rooted in honesty. Whenever I made a mistake or encountered something unfamiliar, I never hesitated to admit it upfront. Surprisingly, many clients appreciated this transparency and allowed me the chance to correct the situation or learn from it. Additionally, I made a collaborative effort to truly listen to their wishes. If there was any confusion, I explored deeper with inquiring questions until I fully grasped their needs before proceeding.

Building genuine connections with each guest is most important to me. I invested time in getting to know them personally, showing appreciation through both words and actions. Upholding integrity was non-negotiable; I always strived to do the right thing, even when no one was watching.

Any advice for managing a team?

Being a leader isn’t just about giving orders—it’s about leading by example. It means being transparent with the team, even when it’s uncomfortable. In the past, I used to fear that providing constructive criticism might isolate my team members. However, after nine years in business, I’ve come to realize that honest feedback, when delivered with care, serves to improve their performance and growth.

Throughout my journey, I’ve encountered numerous challenges and learned valuable lessons, particularly the consequences of impulsively hiring individuals who weren’t the right fit because we needed someone. These experiences served as incentives for change, leading me to establish core values within the company. Now, our team operates with a clear understanding of these values, encouraging a supportive environment where we uplift and rely on one another. We’re not just colleagues; we’re a harmonized team, committed to upholding our shared values in personal and professionally.
