We recently connected with Hannah Pesetsky and have shared our conversation below.

Hannah, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

While I was in college at the University of Tampa, I was studying to become a veterinarian and had such a passion for animals. I didn’t have a dog of my own at the time, but saw them all over my apartment complex and all over the city! I decided to make a flyer showcasing my dog experience (I used to work at an animal hospital). What I didn’t realize was that this flyer was about to be the first page in the next chapter of my life.

Hannah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Hannah Pesetsky and I’m the owner of Peace Love and Woofs LLC. I started walking dogs in college just from a few flyers and word of mouth. When I graduated in 2022 and it was time to get a ‘real job’, I wasn’t sure how I could possibly say goodbye to all of the sweet pups I would visit daily and weekly! I took a leap of faith and decided to try dog walking and sitting as my full time job!

With a current team of 4 hardworking women, my business offers dog walks, pet drop-ins, house sitting, dog boarding, doggy daycare, and more! We know there are so many great pet sitting and dog walking businesses here in Tampa, but what sets us apart is how much we truly love your animals.

We treat every single animal client as if they were our own pet. Are they sick while you’re out of town? We’ll take them to the vet. Are they coughing on our walk? Growling at other dogs? We will let you know and we will care for them based on their individual needs and preferences. Every pet is so unique! We love getting to know each pet’s personality and quirks!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source of new clients for me is word of mouth! Nobody wants a stranger taking care of their fur baby, but when someone has heard from a friend that Peace Love and Woofs took phenomenal care of their pets, they will want to use the same company! My team strives to make all of our human and animal clients very comfortable and happy while owners are away.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I have worked multiple times with other small businesses and animal rescues in the area to put on events and raise money for animal shelters! I didn’t do this for the purpose of building my reputation, but I definitely think it has helped me to get where I am!
