We recently connected with Israel Angel and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Israel, thanks for joining us today. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made (either in terms of time or money)? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
Everything started when I bought my first digital camera, the Sony Alpha 7R3. I decided to invest in a high price camera at the beginning of my career because I knew that this camera would help me advance my skills and allow others to understand that I’m taking my photography career seriously. Even though I use this camera for work, I also tend to use it for street photography and creative projects. I still use this camera to this day and it’s one of my most valuable possessions.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello, my name is Israel Angel. I am a photographer with many titles. I discovered my love for photography in college when I was fascinated by the power of an image to tell a story and evoke emotions in others. This curiosity sparked my journey towards becoming a professional photographer. My dedication to this craft led me to pursue a degree in Digital Communications with a minor in photography. During my academic years, I honed my technical skills and developed a keen understanding of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. I would go out at least once a week to photograph anything I found in my neighborhood to practice street photography.
I immersed myself in various photography projects, from portraits to cars to street photography. My versatility and ability to adapt to different genres of photography made me a standout artist in my field. I have experience working with local shops as a product photographer, worked with industries to capture a working environment, or even worked with regular clients who want their portraits taken,
The one thing I’m most proud of myself is that I always kept learning. I don’t believe I’ve learned everything in my field. I enjoy learning from others who pursue photography as a career and who talk about their experiences. I want my client’s and followers to know that I do this professionally because I love my work. My photos are a form of emotions that speak out from a lens to the screen. I am proud of how far I’ve come as an individual and the skills I’ve developed through out the year.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I have several goals, but the one that stands out the most is accomplishing my childhood dream of traveling. I’ve wanted to leave my city to explore locations out of my sight since I was a kid. I was always stuck at home looking after my siblings as their oldest brother. I never had the opportunity to explore my city until I went to college. After exploring my city, I had to take the next step. I bought a ticket to Seattle, Washington. I spent almost two weeks exploring the city with a couple of friends. The trip became a memory that I will forever cherish. Since then, I’ve been pursuing my goal to travel and explore as much as I can,

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Even though getting appreciation from others feels good, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist was the work I did to accomplish it. Every project I have worked on has been a valuable lesson to me. It helps me grow and learn about myself, my work, and my process. There’s no point in sharing your work unless you’re proud of what you’ve accomplished and the steps that led to get there.
