Jessica, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I’ve been creating Experiential Marketing opportunities for clients since 2005. The good o’l days in college, at Cheeseburger in Paradise, Kalamazoo, Michigan. 15 years later we have a buzz word for it. And getting laid off during the pandemic, I realized there was a lot of downsizing happening. That my skills and experience were of value. Not only for my clients but their vendors, staff or consumers. Sometimes you need something to push you into the direction your spouse to go towards. But the comfort of a steady pay check holds you back. As scary as it was to file as an LLC, I have always wanted to be my own boss. And sometimes when there isn’t a seat at the table. You must build your own table. We are, More than just Marketing, we are Behind the Brands. Because ever client’s needs are different. We customize from large scale Music Festivals, Drink Competitions, or intimate Engagement Parties & food pairings. We customize in creating experience that leave an unforgettable impression of the Brand. Which generates a growing consumer base even after our contract. At Behind the Brands we foster great working relationship with our vendors and clients. Because we know it’s about how your ecosystem supports a diverse and growing community. We value our working relationships and word of mouth.

Investing in People is powerful. They are why our clients love us and keep coming back. And collaboration is key. Sometimes an idea is jut a building block it needs help to get off the ground with teamwork and conversations.

By staying relevant and up to date with current trends, new business and showing up to networking events. You never know who you’re going to meet. Also, I love creating the trend by coloring outside the lines. With inventive new ideas for branding or consumer engagement. I like to piggyback off something I see working and use it in a new way. Or repurpose an old idea of mine, that may not have been a good fit for one brand or client. But crushes with another. Because timing is everything sometimes. I’m always jotting down ideas to use later.
