We were lucky to catch up with Maria Hindle recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Maria thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
When the pandemic hit I had a business doing lash extensions and I had always wanted to have a little online business. Since I was unable to do lashes anymore I felt I needed to pivot a different direction. I had been following several online business owners and they talked about how lucrative their businesses were. I decided to take the plunge in 2021 creating my first online business selling jewelry online.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I created an online boutique called Olivia Nadine, LLC. We love to curate online clothing, jewelry, lashes and accessories that are fun and add a little life to your wardrobe.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
We have to pivot as the time as small business owners! I have had numerous time I’ve had to pivot in this business. When we have a best selling product become no longer available it really makes us have to change up our merchandise to see what is going on. Owning a boutique is a constant puzzle.
How’d you meet your business partner?
We are a family owned business. When I first started I was solo. I started with just jewelry then my mother and sister decided to join me and we expanded the business to clothing, accessories and lashes.
