We caught up with the brilliant and insightful BigJon Promotion a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
BigJon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to put independent Music Artists and entrepreneurs in front of there demographic. To put as many eyes on them as possible. I want them to make a living doing what they love, there passion.
BigJon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into this industry in highschool. Me and some of my classmates attended a hip hop program and called ourselves “Beyond.” After the program a couple of us made our own group called F.A.B. (Faith And Brutality.) We recorded some songs. So I’m familiar with the process.
For Artists I work with, I create content related to their song or project. Usually I try to come up with something kind of funny. I feel posting something funny might stick to the consumers mind or hopefully they will rewatch many times
I feel what sets me apart is the creativity I try to put in each post the artists let me do my own thing most times
I want the people that is watching this to know, all the time you put in doing whatever you do will be worth it. Also you never know who is watching so do 1000% you all the time.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding thing to me is when the artists or entrepreneur thanks and repost my work shouting me out giving credit is rewarding.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to have a big enough platform to the point that who or whatever I post and push will have a big impact to change the individuals career.
