We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brianne Ford a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brianne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. f you needed to find a key partner or facility – how did you find them, what was the process of striking a deal like and what would you do differently knowing what you know now?
Finding good vendors in my industry is a very important part of making an event or wedding successful. There are many vendors that provide a variety of services. There are also different levels of professionalism, quality of work, pricing and longevity that sets vendors apart from each other.
When I first started out and didn’t know many people I would research different vendors then reach out to the via email to set up a meeting. From there I would find out more about their pricing, how they operated, what they did on events days and so on. I then began sorting through the options and choosing vendors based on a variety of things. Personality, quality of work, reviews and also something just as important as the others I mentioned; if I thought that the relationship would be mutually beneficial meaning that they would also refer me.
If I am putting someone on my preferred vendor list and giving this list to clients I have to make sure that they are going to be a good fit. I am basically putting my name on these vendors so in turn that is ultimately a reflection on my company.
Over the years vendors have come and gone and my list has changed and evolved. Now that my business has been around for many years and I know a majority of vendors in my area it is much easier to refer vendors and be confident in knowing that who I am referring will do a good job for my client.

Brianne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am excited to say Unbridled Wedding & Events is going on it’s 10th year in business! We do all types of weddings and events, not only in Florida but all over the country. While it didn’t come easy and being a wedding and event planner can be extremely stressful, I am truly grateful for all of the wonderful clients that I have crossed paths with and had the opportunity to help!
No matter the budget I believe everyone deserves to have the help of a professional planner so they can have fun and be in the moment with their friends and family on wedding or event day.
Whether I am hired for month of coordination, full planning or a design package I really try to create an enjoyable and fun experience throughout the planning process for my clients. While there are lots of decisions to be made and some to do lists I try to spread it out and make it as stress free as possible for them.
Often times people don’t realize all of the pressure couples get from family and friends throughout the planning process. I feel one of my jobs is to make sure that my clients know I have their back and whatever comes their way we will tackle it together and come up with a solution. I have had clients tell me, I know I have you, so when my family starts to go crazy with questions, instead of panicking I take a breath and know that you’ve already got whatever it is handled. To me that is a wonderful compliment knowing that they have complete trust in me and my company!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Besides being very organized and professional, honesty and kindness goes a long way.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Hands down Referrals! I get referrals from vendors, venues and the most special are the ones that come from past clients.
