LaRonica , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a dance artist and community programmer. I have been dancing for well over 20 odd years, I began my journey in dance at the ripe age of 5. Studying ballet and later going to college where I began to focus more on modern and jazz technique. I currently do not dance as much or study any particular place but I do still perform throughout the Long Beach and LA county area. This year I have made a vow to myself to dabble more into my artistry in this fine age of 33 (34 in the spring). I want to explore dance in this mature body and how it feels to capture the essence of aging gracefully. I also enjoy working with multigenerational communities, providing them with recreational programming as well as a community outside of their homes. My journey in this career has been a lot of sweat, laughs and tears but I truly have been grateful for the journey of allowing my light to shine in many different communities. I have provided both dance, theater, wellness and fitness programming for youth and mature adult. Providing these services has been a pleasure to coordinate and facilitate.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect would have to be influencing the younger generation through my art form. Sharing the knowledge that I have learned over the years through dance and the lessons that have made me confident and resilient. I also enjoy teaching the art of acting and performing, every child should have the opportunity to feel that type of encouragement and sense of imagination when it comes to performing.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Living to my fullest potential in my God given talent. I want to say that I had the opportunity to do everything my heart desired and more, or at least say I gave it a good try. I believe that I still have a lot to experience in my artistry, age has no restriction if you take care of yourself and you remain playful and have a good time, your journey can still have endless possibilities.
