We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brittany Taylor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brittany below.
Brittany , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
In 2020, I lost my Dad to cancer. For months, I was mentally in the darkest place I had ever been. I decided to keep my mind busy and started a blog. I remember telling my husband that if I didn’t make $100 by month six, I would give it up. Everyone said it was hard to make money online, so I set super realistic goals.
I spent the last $60 I had to my name and created a website. I worked a full-time job and commuted 750 miles a week. It was an easy job but was unfulfilling. I was beyond ready to quit and spent every waking moment I had learning about how to blog, affiliate marketing, social media marketing, and so much more. I easily worked 12+ hours a day for months!
By month three, I had earned over $400 and was hooked. I quickly fell in love with the social media marketing side of things and knew that if I wanted to grow as a business, I needed to offer a service.
After researching one day, I came across a post that said, “ Earn $4K/Month as a Pinterest Manager.”
I was already using Pinterest to market my blog, so I was excited to find this. I never earned over $2500/month with any full-time job I had, so I was determined to see it through.
With the money made from blogging, I found a mentor and took a course to learn how to be a Pinterest Manager.
After setting up my website, portfolio, and contracts, I launched my business as a Pinterest Manager in April 2021. After a month of putting myself out there on Facebook groups, I gained 3 clients and a business partner. (This had to be destiny, we still work together!)
Fast forward a year later:
* I quit my 9-5 job in February 2022.
* Now have over 10 clients.
* Have expanded to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok marketing
* Starting to expand to local businesses.
* & make over $7K a month!
One year of hard work and determination to work from home changed my life for the best.
As I write this, I’m on vacation in Colorado. This wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t altered the way I wanted to live my life. I knew I couldn’t live in a state of depression after losing my Dad, so I started working on my mindset and kept making progress even when I didn’t think I was.
I can use my creative abilities the way I want, don’t have to ask for permission to be off, and I’m absolutely thrilled that I can provide for my family.
If I were to start over from day one, I would focus on networking in Facebook groups and local businesses. Start taking small jobs and gauge the demand of your audience. For example, when I started, Google changed its ranking system (Page Speed Insights), so I created a service to help bloggers increase their page speeds.
There is money to be made online. The first step is learning who your audience is and creating a service to help solve their problems.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself.
I’m a Social Media Manager that specializes in Pinterest, Instagram, and Tiktok marketing.
I also create designs and simple website setups.
My clients lack time to market their businesses. I primarily offer a done-for-you system to help streamline marketing and give them back the time they need to expand their business.
What sets me apart from other managers is my extensive research abilities, determination to succeed, and being fearless of trying new ideas.
I do my best to give my clients a high-quality experience and help them along every step of the way.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn that being comfortable will keep you locked in a box. The only true growth that you can see within yourself, is when you have enough courage to be comfortable being UNCOMFORTABLE.
I’ve always been a shy and reserved person. My comfort zone was my safe haven, yet my downfall if I had stayed there.
Meeting new people, networking, pushing your limits, learning new skills, and building a profitable business all start with you being uncomfortable, undecided, and uncertain.
When you continually push to step out of your comfort zone, you will see results.
