We recently connected with Raquelle Petrari and have shared our conversation below.
Raquelle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
Ive always wanted to be able to live off of my art. When i was finally introduced to the tattoo industry by my best friend and boss, i left my job at the hospital after two years to be a full time artist.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My artist name is RakAttack Tattoos and I’ve been in the industry since 2016. My best friend who happens to be my boss pushed me for a couple of years to come work with him. I finally caved in and couldn’t be happier about how my life turned out. Since then I’ve been travelling back and forth from Montreal to Los Angels for work. I mainly do black and grey with a few exceptions of colour here and there. My style is mostly freehand which I’m very stoked to be able to have that creative freedom but I’m no stranger to stencils. Currently I’m working on some merchandise for my brand and cant wait to announce it.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to tattoo someone is always an honour. They get to keep it with them for the rest of their lives to remind them of that moment/place/person. I love hearing the stories behind them as well as getting to know my client and their philosophy on life. I’ve made memorable clients as well as long time friends. Hands down one of the best jobs in the world!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I would say my long term goal would be to guest artist in more shops around the world. I love having a positive impact on peoples lives as well as them humbling me and my work.
