We recently connected with Vita Sireikis and have shared our conversation below.
Vita, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’re complete cheeseballs and so we love asking folks to share the most heartwarming moment from their career – do you have a touching moment you can share with us?
Dancing with the bees
From the early age I was taught ti appreciate nature and all living beings. As a child I would go into the forest and spend hours observing the birds, small animals, and wild bees.
I’ve noticed that bees are communicating with each other by making specific moves.
I thought that was so beautiful ! Only later in my life I found out that bees are deaf, they don’t use verbal language to communicate. Instead, they dance to share information.
When i became an Apiarist or Beekeeper myself, I slowly tapped into the frequency of the beehive and started to understand my little sisters – the bees. Bees receive the input both by sight and by feeling the vibrations. And if you are tuned enough, you can become a bee whisperer and dance with the bees!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Vita. I’m a nature lover, beekeeper, gardener, Yoga teacher, Ayurveda wellness counselor, Reiki healer, Sound therapist, poet, and artist on a mission to help others to find their own inner peace, health, and happiness through Nature!
In 2022 I began planting my healing garden in South West Florida adding one more healing therapy – Apitherapy!
Apitherapy is an alternative therapy that uses products made by honey bees for medicinal purposes. These products include honey, beeswax, royal jelly, pollen, propolis, and…. bee venom!
Bees are very wise teachers. They are tiny alchemists, transforming the raw material of the land (pollen, nectar, sap), into substances imbued with healing power. While this healing gold is made by the bees for the bees, humans have also been the receptors of the bees’ healing gifts since the beginning of our relationship with them.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
As an Apiarist and healer, I wanted to know more about the medicinal properties of the beehive.
You see, besides securing our food supply, bees and their products provide us with extraordinary richness in nutrients and active compounds which can protect our health efficiently against over 800 diseases!
Did you know that beekeepers have been documented to have a high longevity and they’re virtually zero cases of cancer?
That is how i became Apitherapist.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Nature is a best teacher, a great source of wisdom. It carries important life lessons for those who want to learn. Everything in nature teaches us something important. Be it changing of seasons, flowers or honey bees for that matter.
